I am a sophmore psychology major at Lafayette College in Pennsylvania. I graduated high school in the top 10% of my class and was in the National Honor Society. I currently have a cumulative 3.5 in college
Experience
I have been a tutor for America Reads here and have tutored pre-k to 8th grade students. I also tutored peers in high-school through National Honor Society. I love to teach, and feel it is one of the best ways to learn. I like to instill a love for learning and gaining knowledge. I think it is fun and rewarding to teach/tutor because I know how much impact a great teacher can have on someones life. Someone who takes the time to get to know the people they are working with and who has a genuine interest on whether their students learn is the most successful. This often helps kids to enjoy the subject they are teaching, even if they never liked it before and takes the frustration out of work, so it becomes less like work. I have taken several psychology courses from high school until now, and will continue to take more to fulfill my major. I am the VP Scholarship for the Panhellenic Community at Lafayette so I try to run programs for Greek life to improve their study habits and grades. I will be in Easton at College until May, for the summer I will be in Essex County, NJ
