Math and Science are my favorite subjects to tutor. I enjoy the process of piecing information together to solve a Math problem. I enjoy Science because it is an opportunity to see the practical applications of Math. I love to share my enjoyment in these two subjects with students. My tutoring style centers around the student and their knowledge. When approaching a problem, I have the student explain what they know about it and then I fill in the missing information. This builds a solid foundation that allows the student to move forward, set up the problem, and then to solve it. My past experience as a tutor involves working with students in elementary, middle, and high school. In addition, I have been a volunteer teacher aid for a special education classroom. My role in the classroom was to help reinforce the lesson. I am interested in tutoring several subjects, including Math, Chemistry, Physics, Spanish, Study Skills and Organization, and Science. Currently, I am a student at Lehigh University. I am working towards a Mechanical Engineering degree, with a Manufacturing Systems Engineering minor. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing board games and reading. I also enjoy basketball, rock climbing, and soccer.
