| Experience: | I have previous experience tutoring in lower level high school math in both high school and in college. I feel that I am readily capable of helping students in math up to pre-calculus. In addition, I have a strong background in economics and would be able to teach high school and college (micro/macro) econ. The same goes for most history courses. As for qualifications, here are a few current grades/test scores: Current GPA - 3.75 My math ACT score was a 31 No grade below a B+ in econ/math/history The reason I tutor is that I enjoy a few certain subjects in school (such as math, econ, and history), and i enjoy teaching it to kids who are struggling or would just like to strengthen their skills. Having tutors in the past when I needed them, i found that the best tutors were those who thoroughly enjoyed the subject they were teaching. Taking this model as my own, I only teach subjects that I find interesting. Because of this, I won't stop the session in the middle of a math problem because the time is up, but rather finish it out and do an extra one because I find it fun to teach the subjects I like. |
| Hobbies: | When I'm not studying or doing homework (Lehigh has a LOT of this), my biggest hobbies include snowboarding, ultimate frisbee, working out, nutrition, and just hanging out. I'm a pretty laid back type of guy that understands how tough school can be at times. I was there and now I'm in the position to help. |
